This two day training course aims to help sea kayakers become confident in planning and undertaking journeys on the sea, in winds up to and including force 4 and/or tides up to 2 knots. The training may take us a little beyond these environmental parameters, in order to help develop the skills to paddle proficiently in these conditions.
Essentially, we are aiming to develop sea kayakers towards becoming confident journeying in moderate energy and exposed marine coastal environments.
Our team will seek out dynamic waters in order to develop journey planning, boat handling and problem solving skills in somewhat higher energy environments.
The course often runs with just two participants, with a max group size of 4 participants. As long as there are two people, the course is guaranteed to go ahead.
