Playing in tide races and rough water is what this week is all about. We will be working as a team in our chosen venues with two massive responsibilities: the first will be to ensure that everyone is having a great fun time; the second will be to look out for each others safety.
Our venues may include well known tide races like: Penrhyn Mawr, North/South Stack, Harry Furlough’s Rocks, Middle Mouse, Puffin Island, Rhoscolyn, The Skerries, Point Lynas, Menai Straits and many other lesser known tidal rapids. The ideal venues for each day will have plenty of technical challenge but tempered with low hazard consequences i.e. great surfing waves followed by calmer waters for rescues.
We aim to provide environments and coaching to help develop solid rough water sea kayaking skills and confidence.
