Mae Sea Kayaking Wales am ddatblygu talent hyfforddi newydd! Mae’n bleser gennym gynnig cyfle hyfforddi/cyflogaeth wedi’i ariannu gan Llwyddo’n Lleol, gan ddechrau Ebrill/Mai/Mehefin. Mae'r sefyllfa hon yn cynnwys gwerth £5,000 o gyfleoedd hyfforddi a hyd at 4 mis o gyflogaeth arian cyfatebol.
Rydym wedi ein lleoli ar Ynys Môn, Gogledd Cymru, ardal fyd-enwog ar gyfer caiacio môr.
Byddwch yn dysgu/datblygu eich sgiliau caiacio môr eich hun ac yn symud ymlaen i fod yn dywysydd/hyfforddwr cynorthwyol ac yn y pen draw yn arweinydd/hyfforddwr caiac môr cymwys.
Am y Rôl
Rhaglen dan hyfforddiant yw hon, a noddir gan Llwyddo’n Lleol ar gyfer brodorion Cymraeg eu hiaith dan 35 oed Ynys Môn a Gwynedd. Ei nod yw helpu pobl ifanc i ddatblygu sgiliau newydd tuag at gyfleoedd cyflogaeth i aros neu ddychwelyd i Ogledd Cymru.
Yn Sea Kayaking Wales rydym yn frwd dros ddatblygu talent hyfforddi newydd a helpu pobl ifanc i ymsefydlu yn y diwydiant caiacio môr. Mae cynllun Llwyddo’n Lleol yn ein helpu i adnabod a meithrin talent leol.
Bydd rôl tywysydd/hyfforddwr caiac môr cynorthwyol yn cynnwys cefnogi cyrsiau ar Ynys Môn ac ychydig wythnosau o alldeithiau/teithiau oddi cartref i'r Alban a Sir Benfro.
Bydd angen cludiant arnoch i gyrraedd ein lleoliadau cyfarfod cleientiaid yng Nghaergybi, Bodorgan a Llanfairpwll ar Ynys Môn. Gellir darparu cludiant/llety ar gyfer teithiau'r Alban a Sir Benfro.

Am Caiacio Môr Cymru
Wedi'i sefydlu yn 2018, mae SKW yn fusnes gweithgareddau awyr agored ffyniannus. Rydym yn cyflogi ~10 o dywyswyr/hyfforddwyr caiac môr llawrydd ysbrydoledig yn rheolaidd ar ein cyrsiau/teithiau amrywiol. Rydym yn padlo gyda ~600 o gyfranogwyr y flwyddyn, llawer ar gyrsiau rhagflas/cyflwyno a charfan graidd ar gyrsiau/teithiau uwch. Rydyn ni'n caru'r gymuned caiacio môr a'n rôl yn ei chefnogi.

Mynediad i offer caiacio môr anhygoel
Rydym yn ymfalchïo mewn diwylliant o waith o safon, gyda chefnogaeth dda o fewn ffiniau iach. Byddwch yn gweithio wythnos 37.5 awr gydag oriau hyblyg, gan gynnwys gweithio ar benwythnosau a gyda'r nos wrth i ni gyflwyno ein cyrsiau a'n halldeithiau. Diwrnod gwaith safonol yw 7-8 awr gydag egwyl ginio.

Sea Kayaking Wales is looking to develop new coaching talent! We’re delighted to offer a Llwyddo’n Lleol funded training/employment opportunity, commencing April/May/June. This position includes £5,000 worth of training opportunities and up to 4 months of match funded employment.
We are based on Anglesey, North Wales, a world-famous area for sea kayaking.
You will learn/develop your own sea kayaking skills and progress to become an assistant guide/coach and eventually a qualified sea kayak leader/coach.
About the Role
This is a trainee programme, sponsored by Llwyddo’n Lleol for Welsh-speaking under-35-year-old natives of Anglesey and Gwynedd. It aims to help young people develop new skills towards employment opportunities to stay or return to North Wales.
At Sea Kayaking Wales we are passionate about developing new coaching talent and helping young people get established into the sea kayaking industry. The Llwyddo’n Lleol scheme helps us to identify and nurture local talent.
The role of assistant sea kayak guide/coach will involve supporting courses on Anglesey and a few weeks of expeditions/away trips to Scotland and Pembrokeshire.
You will require transportation to get to our client meeting venues in Holyhead, Bodorgan and Llanfairpwll on Anglesey. Transportation/accommodation can be provided for the Scotland and Pembrokeshire trips.
Key Tasks
• Support the planning & delivery of safe, high-quality sea kayaking experiences on Anglesey, Scotland and Pembrokeshire
• Contribute to our mission to “Grow and Support the Sea Kayaking Community”
Key Responsibilities
Support exemplary outdoor sessions in sea kayaking and expedition kayaking
Prepare equipment for participants
Develop your own skills as a sea kayaker and guide/coach
Review, learn and plan ahead for each activity
Help develop our safety policies, operating guidelines & risk assessments
Build trusting relationships with our participants colleaugues
Contribute to wider organisational work
This role will contribute to the following outcomes for our participants:
• Increased confidence exploring the sea by kayak
• Increased awareness and love of the sea coastal environments
• Improved physical and mental wellbeing
• Access to a wider community of sea kayakers
Working Relationships
You will be supported directly by the directors, and work alongside our existing freelance coaching team. In the office, you will also be supported by our administration team.
About You
Your attitude and personality are vital. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, trustworthy, and who strongly identifies with our aim to grow and support the sea kayaking community.
Your Experience
We are seeking a committed outdoor/sporting enthusiast, including:
• experience and love of the outdoors, personally and potentially proffessionally
• Some IT literacy, working with photography sharing media, social media and potentially some spreadsheets
In other words…
• Can you inspire and support participants on sea activities
• Can you help care for and organise equipment
• Can you become a sea kayak guide/coach
Requirements
Essential
Welsh-speaking (2nd language competency is fine – no qualification required) under-35-year-old natives of Anglesey and Gwynedd – for the Llwyddo’n Lleol funding
Great with people – friendly, trustworthy, supportive, a potential role model
Love sharing outdoor activities with others
Full driving licence
Desirable
Paddlesport experience/qualifications
First aid qualifications
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’s
About Sea Kayaking Wales
Founded in 2018, SKW is a thriving outdoor activities business. We regularly employ ~10 inspirational freelance sea kayak guides/coaches on our various courses/expeditions. We paddle with ~600 participants per year, many on taster/introduction courses and many on more advanced courses/expeditions. We love the sea kayaking community and our role in supporting it.
