Pembrokeshire, Wales,
SKW Away Trip
From Level 3 (Intermediate)
Pembrokeshire, in May/June, is also a particularly wonderful time to explore and enjoy the nesting sea birds that flock to the highly productive Pembrokeshire sea. Skomer, for example, is home to 24,000 puffins, 700,000 Manx shearwaters, 25,000 guillemots and 7,500 razorbills.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park has a beautiful coastline, countryside, and wildlife, making it a great place to visit. Kayaking here lets you see amazing cliffs, beaches, and caves. Join us in May 2025 to discover the scenery and unique wildlife of this special area in West Wales.

Where will I be paddling?
With favourable weather conditions, we aim to paddle out and fully enjoy just some of the many beautiful islands located in the area, such as Skomer, Skokholm, Ramsey, and the Bishops. In addition to these stunning locations, we will also take the opportunity to explore the picturesque waters of Cardigan Bay, as well as the scenic coastline near Solva and Fishguard.
Kayaking in Pembrokeshire is truly spectacular, not only for its breathtaking scenery but also for its remarkable wildlife. This region serves as a vital breeding ground for many different types of seabirds, including puffins, gannets, and manx shearwaters, making it an incredibly special place to paddle.
We also cannot overlook the impressive seal colonies and charming dolphin pods that frequent this area, adding an additional layer of excitement for all who choose to kayak in this remarkable coastal destination.

What experience level do I need?
“The week in Pembrokeshire, day tours, was fantastic. The venue was very adaptable, allowing for campers, good value static caravans, and independent hostel accommodation. The instructors Kathy and Mirco allowed us to feel challenged, but not overwhelmed. We had access to an evening session of expert yoga, tailored specifically for post paddling aches and pains. Very beneficial.
Overall a brilliant week of paddling, strongly recommended. 5 star.....”
